Role Description
We are seeking an SSDI Legal Secretary, SSDI Representative, or Paralegal to join our growing SSDI practice. This is a full-time, hybrid role that combines flexibility for remote work with in-office collaboration at our Houston location. The ideal candidate will support our attorneys and legal team by managing case files, assisting clients, and performing administrative and paralegal duties related to SSDI applications and appeals.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist clients in gathering necessary documentation for SSDI applications.
• Manage case files, ensuring all required paperwork is complete and deadlines are met.
• Conduct legal research to support case strategies and claims preparation.
• Prepare and file SSDI applications, appeals, and other legal documents.
• Communicate with clients, medical providers, and the Social Security Administration (SSA) on behalf of the firm.
• Schedule hearings and maintain case calendars to ensure timely follow-ups.
• Provide administrative support to attorneys and other team members.
Qualifications
• Prior experience in SSDI claims or disability law is highly preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency in legal research, case management, and document preparation.
• Ability to handle sensitive client information with professionalism and confidentiality.
• Paralegal certification or relevant experience in a legal setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with Social Security regulations and procedures is a plus.
